I don’t get this whole “undying loyalty to brands” thing that has cropped up in the world of technology lately. Where I work, I get a chance to fiddle with all of the most popular platforms like Android and iOS. I’m here to tell you, that they all have their benefits and pitfalls.
That’s right, no one makes a perfect mobile device–at least, not yet. Read on after the break to see what I mean.
No one should be so completely in love with a phone or tablet that he or she is unable to consider the alternatives. There’s a lot out there, and there’s stuff to praise from all of the mobile platforms (even BlackBerry). So, open your minds a bit so that I can throw some of my own conclusions in there.
I’ll go in alphabetical order so no one complains that I’m playing favorites. I do have a current favorite, but you’ll have to wait for the wrap-up to find out which one it is.
Edit: apparently I forgot about my alphabetical idea and simply compared the two mobile giants first. Below, you’ll find the new order.
To that end, you’ll get four more posts on this subject:
- Android
BlackBerry- iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch)
- BlackBerry
- Windows Phone and RT
- Wrap-up
That’s right, it’s my first blog series! Let the flame war begin.
